With an 11% reduction in homelessness, Denver’s Road Home is already changing lives. 1,243 new units of housing for the homeless have been created, 957 families have received eviction assistance and 3,278 homeless people have received employment assistance. .
What your money buys:
- $.50 helps a homeless person to use public transportation to reach an appointment.
- $1.50 provides a meal for homeless individual.
- $20 provides a homeless family with food, shelter, clothing, employment assistance, and case management for a day.
Where does the money go?
Donations are collected by the Mile High United Way and are then distributed to a broad base of organizations who work to provide aid and support services to the homeless. No money at all goes to the city of Denver..
